Description Of Inconel 601
Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with excellent oxidation resistance at 1200 ° C. Alloy 601 can produce a dense oxide layer to prevent oxidation in harsh circulating thermal environments. |
The Inconel 601 has excellent high-temperature strength, and can maintain its unique toughness even in a high-temperature environment for a long time. 601 inconel alloy also has good corrosion resistance under oxidizing conditions. However, it is not recommended to use 601 alloy in a strong reducing and vulcanizing environment.
Due to its huge oxidation resistance, 601 alloy should be welded with the corresponding 601GTAW welding wire. The welding material of RA602CA has stronger oxidation resistance than 601 base material, so the welding material of RA602CA can also be applied to the welding of 601 alloy. 601 alloy is more difficult to machine than 304 stainless steel. Its processing level is equivalent to 15-20% of AISI B 1112
